1.2 Provided Data

You often provide us with your personal data yourself. Whenever you enter your personal data and transmit it to us, it is deemed to have been provided to us. The transmission of data to us is generally voluntary, but is sometimes mandatory in order to be able to use our services. Example: You enter your data in a contact form or register for a newsletter.

1.3 Collected Data

When you use our services, we sometimes collect your data without your active involvement being required. This data is usually data about your device and data about user behaviour. Example: We or our web host collect data about the operating system of the device you used to access our website.

1.4 Worldwide

We work with providers from all over the world to process your personal data. This allows us to benefit from a global offering and access the best and most reliable services. The country to which the data is exported may not have the same data protection standards as Switzerland. Example: We use the services of a cloud provider such as Google, which is based in the USA.

2. Which Services we use

2.1 Google Web Fonts (https://fonts.google.com)

How does Google Web Fonts work? We use so-called web fonts provided by Google on our website for the standardised display of fonts. When you access one of our pages, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. What information do you share with us and how is it used? The browser you use establishes a connection to Google’s servers. This informs Google that our website has been accessed via your IP address. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer. Why are we allowed to use Google Web Fonts? The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. For more information about Google Web Fonts, see the Google Web Fonts FAQs: https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq.

2.2 Google Tag Manager (https://tagmanager.google.com)

We use the Google Tag Manager on our website. This collects data about user behaviour on our website and forwards it to our analysis tools. Google Tag Manager does not have access to the data, it only collects the data. As Google Tag Manager does not process any personal data per se, please refer to the information on the respective tracking services and the Google Tag Manager usage guidelines. Usage guidelines: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

2.3 Newsletter (Mailerlite)

You have the option of subscribing to our newsletter via our website. With the newsletter, we keep you up to date on exciting topics and our offers/services. By measuring the opening and click rates, we learn to better understand what interests you. We require certain information about you in order to send you the newsletter. The voluntary provision of further data enables us to address you with the correct form of address. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. To do this, click on the corresponding button in the newsletter sent to you.

3. Cookies

How do cookies work? Our website uses cookies. Cookies are data records that are stored on the operating system of your device with the help of the browser when you visit our website. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. What information do we receive and how do we use it? Most of the cookies we use are so-called ‘session cookies’. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit. This allows us to save certain settings (such as language settings or location information) so that you do not have to re-enter them when you visit the website again. Why may we use cookies? We use cookies so that we can make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. The use of cookies and the related processing of your data is based on our legitimate interests in the aforementioned purposes. How can you prevent data collection via cookies? Cookies are stored on your computer. You therefore have full control over the use of cookies. You can delete them completely or deactivate or restrict their transmission by changing the settings in your browser. If you deactivate cookies for our website, you may no longer be able to use all the functions of the website to their full extent.
